Mixing
Preparing your songs to mix is a simple task but must be done carefully before sending your tracks.

The following is a checklist to make sure your song preparation is proper and fast.
Independent of what DAW you are using, make sure your bounced individual track files have the same starting point, sample rate, bit depth(e.g. 44.1kHz/24Bit), and the same format (.wav or .aiff). I can also accept 44.1kHz/16Bit but in that case, the final mixing will be sent in CD quality only.
When exporting stereo files, ensure they are bounced as interleaved files. When exporting mono files, bounced as mono files (attention all logic users).
Make sure that the files are not clipping, with no volume automation. The levels must be healthy (average level around -12db fullscale)
Unless you want that specific sound, make sure that all plugins are turned off. Please also send a copy of the unprocessed version, in the case of the specific sound.
Check crossfades and edit points before bouncing.
Ensure files are named clearly, don't put the name of the band member, instead use names like "Snare Mic 1 - Love bones - I used to love you". Or the way you prefer, just make sure the names of the files indicate the artist, the song, and which instrument it is.
Please provide the song tempo (with changes, if applicable) and the song meter (with changes, if applicable). Please provide the reference rough mix of the song and a short description of how you'd like your song to sound. This can also include reference tracks by other artists.
Important:
All individual tracks should be final with performance issues (timing and tuning) taken care of. Song editing and time editing are not automatically included in the mixing. If you would like extra editing this will be charged in addition to the mix. Let's discuss the project before we start so I know exactly how to perform the best job for your song.
Mastering
Preparing the mix to master It a simple task but must be done carefully before sending your tracks.
The following is a checklist to make sure your song preparation is proper and fast.
Independent of what DAW you are using, make sure you bounced your tracks in stereo (we don't master multi-tracks, this is a part of the mixing process) with, sample rate, bit depth(e.g. 44.1kHz/24Bit), and the same format (.wav or .aiff). I can also accept 44.1kHz/16Bit but in that case, the final mastering will be sent in CD quality only.
Make sure that the tracks are not clipping. The levels must be healthy with a max level of -5db fullscale)
Please provide at least one reference song and a short description of how you'd like your song to sound. This can also include reference tracks by other artists.
Important:
All tracks should be final with performance issues (editing, mixing, timing, and tuning) taken care of.
Song editing, mixing, or production are not automatically included in the mastering. If you would like extra editing and/or mixing this will be charged in addition to the master. Let's discuss the project before we start so I know exactly how to perform the best job for your song.
